<description>After I got the inverter from lcdparts.net I installed it in and voila - iMac is back in business.
I am glad I stuck with it. This 24&quot; is really gorgeous and it would have been a pity to have to throw it away.

So - if your iMac does not start or if your screen does not come on - there's hope yet - try my steps and see if it helps you.

PS. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE INVERTER! IT PRODUCES HIGH VOLTAGE SO YOU OUGHT TO MAKE SURE YOU UNPLUG EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU TOUCH IT. ALSO MAKE SURE THAT THE BLACK PLASTIC WRAPPING AROUND IT STAYS IN TACT!

<description>http://www.lcdparts.net/ sells a very similar (not identical) inverter module for my 24&quot; iMac. It costs around $140. I ordered it and will try to replace it. I just hope it is the inverter that's broken.
